Each year in March, students from Central/Southeastern Washington, Oregon, and Idaho converge to share their enthusiasm for Science and Engineering. Here are some key dates and locations for the 2018 Mid Columbia Science Fair.

2018 Fair Information

Open Registration

Student Registration will open in January for the 2018 fair.

Scientific Review Committee / Institutional Review Board Deadline

All projects requiring SRC and/or IRB approvals must submit their projects for review, no later than February 09, 2018.  Students and teachers are encouraged to use the ISEF "Rules Wizard" as soon as a project is selected to ensure time for any required reviews. 

Student Registration and Paperwork Deadline

Projects and paperwork will be accepted until Tuesday, February 27, 2018.  Student paperwork must be mailed/delivered to the Fair Director by this deadline, Teacher/Schools may set earlier timelines to ensure students are registered.

Science Fair

Location: Columbia Center Mall, Kennewick, WA
Projects will be on display Thursday March 8, 2018 through Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 5:00pm (displays should not be removed until after this date/time).  

Judging (Thursday March 8, 2018)

All students and projects must be present for judging by 9AM.  Judging will take place in two rounds, with lunch in between (lunch schedule, by division, will be provided on the day of the fair).  Judging will take place throughout the day.

Display Removal

All displays must be removed between 5:00pm and 9:00pm March 10, 2018.  Any displays that remain after this time may be discarded.  

 

Awards Ceremony

Location: Richland High School Auditorium, 930 Long Ave, Richland, WA
This year's awards ceremony will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Richland High School Auditorium.
