About MCSF

Welcome to the homepage of the Mid-Columbia Science Fair Association (MCSF Association).  The MCSF Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization which exists to organize and hold the Mid-Columbia Regional Science and Engineering Fair.  We are the oldest science fair in the state and this effort is 100% performed by volunteers and is funded by generous organizations and individuals (please view our list of sponsors and let them know you appreciate their generosity).

The MCSF Association works with Teachers and Students of Mid-Columbia area of Washington state, with the students conducting their chosen research project.  Each year we hold the Mid-Columbia Regional Science and Enginering Fair during the second Thursday through Saturday of March.  Our regional fair brings together hundreds of students from Eastern Washington and surrounding areas who get a chance to show off their scientific prowess to our judges and the public for learning, fun and awards.

The 2017 fair will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 and the awards ceremony will be on Saturday, March 11th.  The public may view exhibits on display at the Columbia Center Mall, in Kennewick, WA, during March 9-11, 2017. The fair is open to any student, grades 6 through 12, in the Central Washington region. For details about the awards ceremony, including the date/time and location, please see the Schedule & Maps page.
